Driftless Area Land Conservancy
Scott Dyke
Communications & Development Associate

A native Wisconsinite and recent master’s graduate from UW-Madison in Environmental Conservation, he has always had a passion for the wonderful and diverse natural areas found within our state.  During his master’s program, he had the opportunity to do an internship with Rainforest Trust.  This experience gave him a firsthand look at the critical role land trusts’ have in protecting vulnerable ecosystems and species across the globe, and strengthened his desire to work in the environmental nonprofit sector.

He wants to effectively convey just how special and diverse the Driftless Area is, and highlight in detail how all those affiliated with the DALC are making a positive impact. In the process, he hopes to educate and inspire new audiences, and reinforce the sense of pride for those who already know about the wonders of the Driftless.

DALC is a continuation of Wisconsin’s rich conservation legacy.  More than any other region, the Driftless Area encapsulates the beauty of Wisconsin and the need for continued protection moving forward.  He is thrilled to be joining an organization that strives to protect the unique landscapes of Southwest Wisconsin and inspire the next generation of conservationists by fostering connections between people and nature.
