Monarch Migration Tagging (registration required)

Iowa County Farm Directions: Red barn on County Rd CH. Located on north side of the road just east of Bloomfield Health (3151 Cty Rd CH, Dodgeville)

Every fall, thousands of migrating monarch butterflies are tagged through citizen science programs that promote monarch research and conservation efforts. Join DALC to participate first hand in catching and tagging monarch butterflies, and to learn more about the amazing phenomenon of their migration.

There will be 2 sessions: (A) 9:00am-10:30am  or (B) 11:00am-12:30 pm

Participants should come dressed ready to chase butterflies through a prairie. Sturdy shoes and long pants are recommended. Please bring a butterfly net if you have one.
