SUMMARY:Evenings Afield: Great Wisconsin Bat Count Kick-Off
DESCRIPTION:Join bat biologists at Taliesin for the property’s first comprehensive bat emergence count! While overwintering bats have been monitored here for over a decade\, this survey focuses on bats that use the historic buildings for summer day roosting. Your participation will help guide future bat monitoring and conservation efforts and inform planned building projects that could affect these important roosts. Many pairs of eyes are needed to cover the property’s buildings\, and this event kicks off the Great Wisconsin Bat Count weekend.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Register\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n The Lowery Creek Watershed Initiative is a community-driven partnership of residents\, farmers\, conservation organizations\, and local partners working together to protect water quality\, support resilient agriculture\, and steward the natural and cultural landscape of the valley.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Learn More
