Troy serves as executive director and planning manager for the Southwestern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission. Prior to SWWRPC, he worked as planning and zoning director for rural Lafayette County and with the Army Corps of Engineers planning division in St. Paul, MN. Troy also served for three years as an education volunteer with the Peace Corps in the Kingdom of Tonga and as a Crew Leader with the Minnesota Conservation Corps.
Troy grew up in rural central Ohio and developed a love of nature through family camping trips and tromps through creeks and woodlands. He also gained a new perspective on “living with nature” during his years with the Peace Corps in a developing country.
Troy has a bachelor’s of science in Construction Project Management from The Ohio State University and a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. In his free time, Troy enjoys stone sculpture, traveling and having grand adventures outdoors with his wife and two daughters.
