SUMMARY:Wednesdays at the Wetland
DESCRIPTION:Join Driftless Area Land Conservancy staff and fellow volunteers for a morning of hands-on stewardship at Erickson Conservation Area in Argyle. DALC acquired Erickson in 2012 as our first nature preserve. Today\, this 220-acre preserve is home to wetlands\, prairie\, and oak savanna\, providing important habitat for a diverse array of plants and wildlife. Ongoing restoration and land management are essential to keeping these unique habitats healthy and resilient. \nDuring this workday\, volunteers will help care for the preserve as part of DALC’s ongoing restoration efforts.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Register Today

SUMMARY:Wednesdays at the Wetland
DESCRIPTION:Join us as we protect the wetland wonders of the Erickson Conservation Area located right in the heart of Argyle! Activities include invasive species management\, maintaining structures such as boardwalks\, birdhouses\, and signage\, and exploring further into the wetlands to conduct the occasional rare species survey. \nThe wetland can be (no surprise) wet! Plan on wearing rubber boots. You are encouraged to work at your own pace and take plenty of breaks. All the necessary tools and equipment will be provided\, but please bring layers\, water\, a snack\, and gloves. \nIf you’re planning to join a workday\, please contact Zach Pacana a few days in advance at zachary@driftlessconservancy.org. \nActivities change periodically\, so for the latest update\, contact Zach.
