Welsh Hills Segment Grand Opening
Join us on April 18th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm for the grand opening of the ridge section of the Welsh Hills Trail, now part of the regional Driftless Trail. This new 2.6-mile loop winds along the ridge with sweeping views of the Wisconsin River, the Wyoming and Lowery Creek valleys, the Taliesin estate, and the restored Welsh Hills landscape — a true reflection of the Driftless Area’s rugged wild beauty.
We’ll gather at the Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center for an open house–style morning featuring guided hikes, time to explore at your own pace, and the chance to be among the first to experience this remarkable stretch of trail. Whether you stay for a short stroll or hike the full loop, we hope you’ll join us in celebrating this milestone for the Driftless Trail.
Please register below. Registration helps us plan for guided hikes and ensures you have the best experience possible.
We can’t wait to welcome you to the trail and celebrate this exciting new chapter together!
