IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)

If you are 72 years old, you can satisfy your required minimum distribution (RMD) from your IRA, avoid taxes on the transfer, and support DALC with a donation of up to $100,000! When you’re ready to give, direct your IRA custodian to make your gift to: Driftless Area Land Conservancy, PO Box 323, Dodgeville, WI, 53533. Did you know that when you donate appreciated stocks or bonds, you could avoid paying capital gains taxes on the appreciation, but could still receive a tax deduction for the full value of the gift? Donating stock can be a win-win for you and for DALC! Please check with your tax advisor to determine the full deductibility of your donation.
