Invasive Species Awareness Weekend
Join DALC Easement Stewardship Manager, Shannon Roznoski, and York Prairie volunteers during Invasive Species Awareness Weekend to help remove invasive herbaceous weeds from a beautiful prairie remnant State Natural Area near New Glarus, Wisconsin. No experience is necessary, and volunteers will assist with hand-pulling invasive plants and using simple tools such as loppers and small shovels to help protect this valuable native landscape.
Participants are encouraged to wear long pants and sleeves and bring a sun hat, sunscreen, and insect repellent. Gloves and tools will be provided. Free roadside parking is available, but please note there are no restroom facilities on-site.
Please note: This event is being hosted as part of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources’ Invasive Species Awareness Weekend event series.
